Originally released in 1978, established a leading exponentin the largely unexplored field of Scottish harp (clarsach) as a solo instrument in it's own right. Much of the music is part of the harp's original repertoire, researched and discover by Alison. Her approach, however, is not that of an antiquarian trying to reproduce the sounds of the 17th & 18th centuries, but that of a musician of her own time, expressing ancient music in the traditional idiom of today.
